What's the Museum of Drawing?

Apama Mackey is the director of Houston's Museum of Drawing. Born in Iran and residing in Texas, she's been an important proponent of the contemporary art scene for the past twenty years. 

The Panik Collective is a team of credentialed multi-media artists, whose public art actions are inaugurating the Museum this summer in a show co-curated by Matt.

Dan Madigan was a lifelong fan of professional wrestling when a script he wrote got him a meeting with WWE CEO, Vince McMahon. Shortly thereafter he went from staff writer to segment director to helping launch WWE Films. 

Matt and Dan discuss the myths and realities of professional wrestling, from its rural roots to a multi-billion dollar empire that stages 300 events per year for more than 36 million viewers worldwide. Wrestling is too often maligned as a Soap Opera for Morons, but few understand how much work goes into this billion dollar industry, and it's great to get the inside scoop from someone who knows the business from the inside. 

And sometimes it's just fun to listen to a couple of Massholes wax poetic about the glory days of the Boston Garden.

This is how you remake Ghost in the Shell!

The casting of Scarlett Johansson in the new Paramount Pictures live-action remake of Ghost in the Shell has elicited accusations of ‪#‎whitewashing‬ amid other criticisms, so I reached out to the first woman to portray a live-action Kusanagi, Christine Adams, to get an Asian-American point of view.

Christine is a full time model and gamer, cast in the privately funded GITS PROJECT 2501 from director Ash Thorpe, which sought to recreate the opening title sequence from Mamoru Oshii's animated adaptation of Masamune Shirow's manga. Matt and Christine talk about how a modeling career can launch from playing Dungeons & Dragons and the challenges for people of color in the white dominated world of American movies. Pod Sequentialism has a new BlogTalkRadio page!

His latest personal opus, The Art of Charlie Chan Hock Chye, is a meta-fiction masterpiece that tells the secret history of his Southeast Asia.
